Frequently asked questions

How much does a project cost?

Marketing sites typically land between $6,000 and $18,000 depending on page count and complexity. Standalone brand systems start at $4,500. Short-form video retainers start at $1,800 per month. Automation builds start at $3,000. Paid growth management starts at $1,400 per month plus your media spend.

You receive a fixed price in writing before any design work begins, and it does not move unless you change the scope. Full ranges are on the services page.

How long does a project take?

A focused marketing site is three to five weeks. A Shopify store or web application is six to ten weeks. A mobile app is eight to fourteen weeks. Brand systems take two to three weeks. Video and growth retainers deliver on weekly or monthly cycles.

The single biggest cause of delay is waiting on content and feedback, so we agree a review rhythm up front and tell you honestly when a slip on your side will move the launch date.

Who owns the code, designs and files?

You do, completely, on final payment. That includes the git repository, source design files, editable video project files, and every third-party account — hosting, analytics, ad platforms, domains.

We do not use a proprietary CMS, and there is no licence that expires if you stop working with us. If you want to take the project in-house or to another studio, nothing about our setup makes that hard.

How do revisions work?

Two structured rounds at the design stage and one at the build stage. A round means you gather all feedback in one pass, we work through it together, and then we move forward.

We deliberately do not offer unlimited revisions. In our experience it produces worse work and slower launches, because it removes the pressure to make decisions and turns the project into an open-ended conversation.

What do you need from us to start?

A decision maker who can actually approve work, any existing brand assets, access to your current site and analytics, and roughly two hours a week for reviews.

If you do not have copy yet, we can write it or start with structured placeholder content and swap the real thing in later. Missing copy should not delay a kickoff.

Can you work with our existing team or design system?

Yes, and often we do. We design for in-house developers to build, build against a design system somebody else made, or extend an existing codebase instead of replacing it.

Tell us where the actual gap is and we will scope only that part. We would rather do one useful piece well than sell you a rebuild you do not need.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

Every project includes thirty days of post-launch support for bugs and small adjustments at no extra cost.

After that, you can move to a monthly retainer for ongoing creative, testing and improvements, or just come back when you need something. There is no mandatory maintenance contract.

What are your payment terms?

Fifty percent to book your slot and begin, fifty percent on launch. For projects over $15,000 we split it into three payments across the timeline instead.

Retainers are billed monthly in advance with thirty days notice to cancel. We invoice in USD and accept bank transfer or card.

Do you write the copy?

We can. Copywriting is included in our larger packages and available as an add-on otherwise.

Even when you write it yourself, we will edit for structure and clarity. Design and copy cannot really be separated — a layout is a decision about what to say first.

What if we are not happy with the design?

Weekly demos exist precisely so this surfaces in week two, when it is cheap to fix, rather than week six when it is not.

If after the first design round we are clearly not aligned, you can stop, keep everything produced so far, and we will refund the remaining balance. It has happened twice in seven years and both times it was the right call.

Do you work with clients in other time zones?

Yes — our clients are spread across eleven countries. We work asynchronously by default, with written updates and recorded walkthroughs, and schedule live calls in a window that overlaps your working day.

What projects do you turn down?

Full site builds under roughly $4,000, where a good template genuinely serves you better. Work that must live inside a proprietary builder we cannot export from. Projects needing twenty people next month, because we are five and do not bulk-subcontract.

And briefs where a rebuild is being used to solve a pricing or product problem — a faster site will not fix that, and we will say so. More on this on our about page.
