The brief

What they hired us to fix.

An author needed a public site that looked like the books, not a theme demo. Shop, events and a mailing list had to sit on the first scroll.

  • Homepage hero with the author portrait and a writing-first headline.
  • Book grid with covers, a downloadable ebook band and an events strip.
  • About and blog blocks that keep the same type and pink field.

Visitors can buy, read and book an event without hunting a second template. The capture is the live selected-works frame.
